The introduction of Twitter content into Google search engine results pages will have an impact on optimisation techniques, according to an industry source.

Twitter 'Changes the Google Search Landscape' Online marketing director at Zoombits.co.uk Sam Tilston suggested that companies can use the social media network to create their own messages.

He pointed out that there are effective providers of UK SEO services, which will be able to advise businesses on how to utilise Twitter to optimise their content and include the most relevant keywords.

Mr Tilston claimed that the introduction of Twitter allows Google to offer the most up-to-date information possible and companies have to bear this in mind when marketing messages on the platform.

"With the pace of news and content creation gathering pace everyday it becomes all the more important for Google to deliver live results," he explained.

Recently, the search engine giant released a new feature called Social Search, which allows users to search for their friends’ messages on certain social networks and blogs.
